Help for media managers

Keep the card and partial copies in place.

If an offload is interrupted, leave the original media and destination folders intact. VeriFile can use both to safely recover the offload.

01

Interrupted offload

Reconnect the original source and destinations, open the project, review Recovery, then resume.

02

Mobile connection

Use the same private network, enable sharing in Settings → iPhone & iPad on the Mac, choose the Mac, and enter its four-digit code.

03

Drive not available

Check Finder first, then verify the cable, power, filesystem permissions, and available space.

04

Report a problem

Create a redacted report in Settings → Support, inspect the ZIP, then submit it securely.

Resume an interrupted offload

  1. Reconnect the original source media and every available destination.
  2. Open the matching project and review the Recovery message.
  3. Replace any destination that will not return, then choose Resume.
  4. Keep the media mounted until every destination reports Verified.

VeriFile preserves files that already passed verification and recopies only missing or mismatched files.

Connect the iPhone or iPad app

  1. Put the Mac and mobile device on the same trusted private network.
  2. Open Settings → iPhone & iPad on the Mac and enable sharing.
  3. Select the nearby Mac on iPhone or iPad and enter the four-digit code.

Guest-network isolation, VPN routing, and firewall rules can block local discovery. The companion monitors offloads and can pause or resume only when the Mac operator enables remote controls.

Create a bug report

  1. Open Settings → Support → Create bug report.
  2. Describe what happened and the exact steps that reproduce it.
  3. Add useful screenshots, screen recordings, PDFs, or text logs.
  4. Leave private-name redaction enabled and inspect the ZIP before sharing.

The report can include app and system versions, selected attachments, recent VeriFile events, drive characteristics, and recent VeriFile crash reports. It never includes source media and is never sent without your approval.
